Has a frosted lens ever been considered? I'd imagine there would be a steep output penalty.

Question- Is there any known source for parts for the legacy lights? (Ra Lights with the clip holes in the body, non-Acme thread.) Thanks in advance...

Uniquetitanium, you can email them (as they are closed). They still held a small inventory last time I checked.

Just curious to see if there were any known retailers since UT closed up shop, Arch. Just as general info. A WTB for a rehab part or two might be next however...

I am not aware of any official sources for NOS vintage "legacy" parts any longer, since Lighthound and Uniquetitanium are both sadly gone (notwithstanding whatever stock may remain from their former proprietors)

If it is for rehab or repair of an existing light, though, have you checked to see if Hogo or Henry can help ?

I don't think Henry has parts left over from Ra...
There is a triple locked door in the basement hidden behind some filing cabinets with a sign on it that says "Beware of Tiger" and "Enter if you wish to meet God" that I haven't gone into... so who knows. I can check with him on Monday.

    Edit:
What specific parts are you looking for?

Hogo- I'm in need of a reflector. Someone tried cleaning the one in my light prior to me buying it, and while the around-the-house beam is acceptable, it's ugly-floody outside at night. Thank you for looking into it.

Cleaning your reflector with a dirty t-shirt dipped in rubbing alcohol ugly. Floogly. Not in a soft, smooth, special run reflector sort of way...

Glad to see there are others than me having a larger number of this reflectors... ...and love this little babies! Great Picture JKolmo! Until now I was guessing I am the only one with more than 6 of this reflectors. But good to see others are also that crazy

And what can you say about the 351D 5000K? I know that is not the official HDS bin, but I do not have this LED at all, therefore my question.

I like it! Due to bigger die itís not suited for tiny AAA lights IMO but in all other hosts this one is great. Beam is just perfect unlike Cree emitters which Hogo already mentioned somewhere.
All of the guys having XPL will be surprised seeing this emitter in action.
I have it in many other flashlights and 90% of them are pushing 351D safely up to 5.5A and half of them are shaved.
Once you shave itís dome you get 219B sw45k like beam.
Those are the reasons i swapped NLT with SDR50

I liked neutral tints before they were cool.

Panda love.......Bring back the Panda as an option! I need another 18650 !

NLT Panda.......Amber with white diffusor and Trit bezel. If the bottom falls out I could live with just these two.

(Could only get one pic to load)

Awesome pic Hogo! Any reason you chose the medium Tsar over the regular 41mm?

It's the GSAR... automatic. I picked the medium after thinking on it for about a year... I figured it would be big enough on my wrist without looking... HUGE. I was right. It doesn't look small at all on my wrist. I don't like watches that look too big. I might pick up the anthracite model in the standard size... being all black, it may look a bit smaller than stainless on my wrist.

Sorry not sure if this question has been asked/answered before but I am currently looking into a rechargeable option for my HDS light. So question is what would happen to a HDS light in the event that a lithium battery, like INR 16340, were to vent inside of the light?

Very bad things will happen. INR is a very safe chemistry however and HDS lights are designed not to tax the battery to a point where bad things happen.

Gotcha. I love my 41mm TSAR. Marathons are the ultimate utilitarian tool watch. Remind me of what Rolex used to be before they became jewelry status symbols. I think youíd love the larger size.

I'll most likely get the regular size in anthracite... but it may be a month or two. What started all this was my quarts Aquaracer... the battery died. I hadn't had a quartz for quite some time. I only had this 16 months... supposed to go 50 months on a battery. I hate things that stop working that I can't get working myself quickly. While time isn't nearly as important to me as it once was (hell, I work at HDS so we all know about time issues). So while I was in the store dropping off the Tag for a battery replacement, I bought a Calibre 5 Aquaracer and then ordered the GSAR which arrived the next day. Also ordering the tools to replace the battery in the quartz... which I might sell to fund the anthracite GSAR. One is none and two is one... right?

I have been wearing a Casio Pathfinder Sport since 2005. The Casio sets itself nightly using the Atomic Clock and the battery charges daily with sunlight. My older eyes cannot read reverse type (white on black background) too well so my world is quite limited. The Casio does look nice next to the Titanum HDS Executive.
