Any chance for a secondary Red LED like the Ra-85-Tr, in the future?

That light actually only had one emitter. When the current was reversed, it went red. Was a fluke that Henry took advantage of.

I thought the burst function works only for level 24, lowering it to 23? Could this function be extended to all levels? For example, I turned on level 8 and after 40 seconds it will become level 7 and level 1 will turn into level 0.

Any chance an HDS Triple would ever be possible?

    Dan,
That post was on 07-22-2018, any update on this?
This has got to be one of the most requested features. I also think it would open up HDS sales to so many other flashaholics that just aren't interested in CR123 lights.

I see here in Japan, Amazon.jp and Yodobashi are completely out of Panasonic CR123 batteries. Bic Camera still has some but I expect they won't last too long. AFAIK Panasonic moved all it's lithium battery production to Indonesia around 2014 I think, as the only Panasonic CR123 batteries you can buy in Japan for years all say "Made in Indonesia".

In other news I see that "Panasonic is pulling its 3500 employees from the massive Nevada factory it operates with partner Tesla over concerns about the spread of COVID-19".

Although I don't think this will affect US CR123 production as I believe they are produced in Georgia. However I think it won't be long before the Georgia factory shuts down too.

So this got me wanting a single AA body HDS light more than ever.

An HDS Shotgun would be pretty sweet, just saying.

Things are moving very slowly. Grab a 2AA tube. Waiting on HDS is like sitting on the roof of your home waiting for the government to come in and save you.

Corona is everywhere and I am sitting at home.... Bored! Therefore I was checking the Cree Website.

    How about a XP-L2 LED - https://www.cree.com/led-components/products/xlamp-leds-discrete/xlamp-xp-l2
At least the Website says there are WW, NW and CW LEDs in HiCRI available.

Maybe an idea, since there is a X
P-L HDS available, so why not a XP-L2? Or a XP-L High Density? Or both?

XPL2 will have colorfull beam like XPG3. Upcoming 351D has fat die and beam is like XPL/XPL2 emitters so we should be covered on that side. Difference is that 351D is high cri though.
It would be interresting to see Osram CSLNM1.TG

The Samsung 351D is much better than the Cree XP-L2. I had a Zebralight SC64c with a 4000k XP-L2 (93-95 CRI), and the tint shift was rather off putting. I sold that light and bought the newer SC64c LE with a 4000k 351D (90+ CRI), and there is no tint shift. Color rendering appears better to my eye as well. XP-L2 is pleasant behind the frosted lenses that Zebralight has, not so much for the clear lenses.

XP-L2 was only an idea since I have a regular CW XP-L, a 4000K 325 Lumens XP-L from hogos Groupbuy, also the 300 Lumens 3900K XP-L. This LEDs are not bad at all. They are not HiCRI, but the beam itself is not that colorful. It is not that homogen (the same color over the complete beam) like it is in 219B 4000K 9080 or SST20 4000K. But still fine to me.
