Was at the local tractor supply store and saw this. It's and all Aluminum copy of the MX 991military from Fulton. Runs off 6 AA In an adapter. Anyone ever seen this befor?

Led and dam bright 400 lumens it says and I'd say it does that easy. Hey for 15 bucks I'll throw it in my box at work.

Interesting,I don't remember seeing that before,don't think I would be able to pass it up at $15 either! Fortunately there are no TSCs close by me.....:sweat:

My mind's eye wonders if you could ditch the AA adapter and slide a couple of 26650s in there instead. It'd be close but I reckon it's just possible.

Will it run on 2 D cells, or just AA's?

How much Voltage do the AA's put out in the adapter?

3 volts. There in SERIES. So ya 2XD work great.

Nice! I like dual fuel lights. Might even be able to run it on a single 18650 in a adapter, though the Voltage would be about 1 Volt more than 2 D's.
