Re-reading old threads (the XP-G2 one to be precise) and saw the following CCT values:

XM-L. 6300K
XP-G2. 4500K
119. 4500K

Are these still the case? What is the CCT of the new XP-L (Hi) LED?

I always liked the colour of my XP-G2 before I blew it... I like the 119v I have and the XP-L I still have. I am looking at getting a new torch and have a choice between 4000K and 5000K, wondering if the 5000K will be noticeably bluer than the McGizmos I have.

Grateful for any info you can provide.

If the LED is close to the planckian curve it will be "white" at 5000k. You would need to go higher to get blue I believe.

The XM-L is probably 6300K at some point in the beam profile, but certainly not the whole thing..

There is no true white, so 5000K might look just a touch blue only if you're directly comparing it to a 4000K source, or viewing it in a warmly-lit room.
