Sorry about your Inkosi woes. My buddy and I have small Inkosis and have had very good action on both of them. This is a really good disassembly/lube/reassembly guide I found; it might help you perhaps. I would recommend using the CRK supplied lubricant; itís what Iíve used on all the various CRKs Iíve had with good success. Blade centering being off as you tweak the tension doesnít seem right. Make sure itís reassembled properly.

Those are the steps I've been following. It is, after all, a very simple knife to take down. If the pivot tension does not affect blade centering on your Inkosi, then you have a different knife than I have. There has to be a certain amount of tension in the pivot to counter balance the pressure exerted on the blade by the lock bar.

Haha nah man, I know what knife I have. The tension is perfect and the centering is right on. I think something in that knife is wonky. If you canít get the the tension right without the blade thwacking the handle I would send it in and have CRK tune it for you. Thatís not how they are. If it was a Sebbie I would suspect a pinched washer but Inkosis donít use a bushing like that so I donít know what it is but it doesnít sound right.

Thanks, fellas. I'll just keep working it for a while and see what comes of it.

I ve had a Benchmade Pardue and a Pro Tech Godson and finally went with the Microtech Navy Scarab as well s the Siphon II. They need to do some tweaking on the Siphons but the Scarab is impressive.

I've attempted to remedy this by polishing the washers on a strop and experimenting with various types and amounts of lubricant (e.g. fluorinated grease, Hoppes#9, Nano Oil (10w), Nano Oil (85w), Benchmade Blue Lube, 3 in 1, lithium grease). I'm fatigued with all of the disassembly and experimentation.

Loosening the pivot screw is not an option because this affects blade centering. If I back off even a little, the blade makes contact with the show side scale. I'm not sure if this phenomenon is common to them all or if it is unique to mine.

When you combine that with the small, pointed thumb stud that is partially obscured by the finger grooves, you have a knife that frankly unpleasant to open. If there is any moisture on my hand or on the knife, I find that my thumb often slips off the thumb stud half way through the opening process.

While I admire the craftsmanship and build quality, the Inkosi doesn't log many pocket hours. My HDS family lately been accompanied by other blades...

If possible, try this lubricant, it is very good, but a little poisonous, if it eat (lead main additive)

Thanks. I've seen several YouTube videos in which people almost flick their Inkosi's open. Mine is not capable of that. I'm going to give it about three months' worth of opening and closing in the next few days. If that doesn't solve the problem, I'll reach out to them next week.

That's a killer combination. My High Noon has also recorded a lot of pocket time lately. I enjoy it so much that everything else has been staying at home.

Love the M390! How is the factory edge? My PM2 came with an adequate, albeit toothy edge. Wasn't terribly impressive.

Factory edge is great. The primary edge/bevel is much wider than normal. Really like it. Overall F&F is really nice. The Delica displaced my BM707, which is saying a lot since I really love that knife (the 707). Very happy they decided to do this special edition D4.

I'm pleased to report that I've resolved the issues with the action on my Inkosi. Just needed more breaking in. While I have acquired a few more blades, this CRK knife has resumed it's place as my primary HDS pocket mate.

    Cheers

Most excellent. You need to develop CRK thumb for a week or so, then all is good in the matter separator world of CRK.
