Are there any decent quality lights out there designed to run 1xCR123/1xAA interchangeably besides the Streamlight 1L-1AA? Ideally I'd like something with 2-3 widely spaced modes and a good tint/cri... but that may require some modding.

My favorite was the Nitecore SRT3 which used an adapter, but it has been discontinued. The Sunwayman V11R also comes with an adapter to allow both.

Fenix HL50 is close but is a Headlamp by design and has no real Moonlight Mode.
I love mine regardless though and the tint is better than any Streamlight that I have ever had or seen.

ZL SC80 is another and also long since discontinued.

I think you mean the Logan 17500 Arch?
It will take 123,AA,AAA all in the same tube with spacers.
Pretty handy little light!

Well, I have both.

Yes, the Logan 17500 will run CR123A with a spacer, or AA (with or without a spacer)

Yes, I have a Logan (CR123A tube) too, and can easily swap the 17500 tube.

In fact, with a threaded cap, dual host tubes can be a nice backup system :eek:oo:

That ASP looks interesting.
I have to say the website is one of the most scribbly sites I've been on.
Very difficult to glean any info.
Thanks for the tip off, I'll search around.
