    Default Foursevens Preon P1 P2 Pass-Around n GAW

    Hello Prometheans,

It's time for another pass-around. Jason has graciously provided us with a Foursevens Preon 1 Pass-Around kit. At the end of the Pass-Around the Black Preon 1 will be given away!

The pass-around will include both the Black Preon 1 MKIII, a Copper Preon 2 to compare P1 to,
a P2 Nylon Belt Holster*, and a GP USB charger with 4 AAA NiMh rechargeable batteries. Please note that the cells need to be charged in pairs. The end GAW is for a Black P1, 4-GP AAA cells, and an USB GP charger.

Never point a flashlight at anything you don't intend to illuminate! Never buy a flashlight you have to make payments on.

Yes. Having batteries in them creates a more stable condition so they don't fall over. Most of the batteries are the GP Reckyo rechargeables, purchased from Jason.

Also, I'm of the opinion - if it doesn't have batteries, it's not a flashlight.

I would be so tempted to turn them all on at once all on the lowest setting.
I see this like the beginning of an episode of mister Rodgers neighborhood when he takes off his sport coat and picks out one of his different colored sweaters to wear inside.

Much Respect. Thank You for posting some currents

The Preon Model has evolved over the years. The legacy Preon' s used the current available at the time best options
for LED choices. This evolved into making refinements and updating the series over several years. There were many
special runs of the Preon series involving different emitters followed by limited materials releases leading to the
Preon MKII's. Now we are entering the MKIII series. The emitter and driver bring much to the current series.

    Hi All,

I am readying the package to go out to Paul6ppca.

I'd like to include a P2 with the pass-around. I think seeing and comparing the differences might help a few here.

Any objections to adding, testing, and trying out a Copper P2 MKIII with this pass-around? Or should it be separate?

I'm in for the Pass Around.

Still using the original P1 and have the MrkII, I'd be curious how the MkrIII stacks up.

I already have a P1, so I was thinking to pass on this pass-around, but now you add a P2... I've never tried one before. I'm hooked - can you add me in?

I'll be shipping the pass-Around package out to Paul6ppca first next week.

    Some pictures,P1TI
    AAA stand
I will ad my thoughts as I use it,maybe a daily journal of how it worked for me day by day.
Initial impressions is that it is incredibly well finished and machined! As nice as I have seen.
    Its much smaller in person.
    Clip is great.
    Easy to program.
I did not know it is a forward clicky until it arrived.
I think I would like the ribbing on the body. I love the looks but it feels a bit slippery.
The tail cap button has been made stiffer to avoid accidental turn on. My personal preference would be a bit easier.with a tip from Carl, I added a fold of tape under the switch cover now it latches on much better, less force needed.

I really like the ability to program the light as I like!
So far I am using H-M-L. I think this programming ability should appeal to everybody.

Also I have not mentioned the great beam pattern. The tint is also darn near perfect. I can find no objections.

It has a great flood spot with a very nice transition to spill. Perfect for this light

This morning I finally opened the P2 copper.
Love the feeling /weight of the copper.
I also appreciate the extra texture on the body.
Iíve not had a 2aaa or 2aa since my Fenix L2!

But the size of this is very nice, not as long as I imagined. One Single aaa is my preference. But with the additional runtime and brightness I am starting to understand the appeal of the P2!
I will post pictures later! It a really nice looking
    Light. Very impressive.
