This light uses 4 AA so with 1.5 volts each battery, it should equal 6 volts. Whould this Luxeon light equal to a PM6 LED?

NO, it's very dim compared to almost any LS based light. The only one I have that is dimmer is the UK 4AA eLED. But, both have their good points - very long runtime and ample output for around-the-house tasks such as looking behind computers, stereo systems, etc. If you have a couple of very bright lights, you'll appreciate the PT Impact XL because it won't blind you when used at close range.

It's pretty dim compared to my PM6 LED. I have 2 of them. One of them has a very white beam, and the other is slight yellowish. Good part about them is the waterproof rating of a couple hundred feet and long burn time.
