Klarus XT2C button replacement - RESOLVED :)
Hi,
I bought a Klarus XT2C in 2013. Maybe due to usage, the mode part of the rubber button of the tailcap was torn off, exposing the toggle switch.
I'm from the Philippines. I have contacted the local distributor, but is slow to reply and seems disinterested. I also contacted the Chinese customer service (Shenzhen, GD, CN) who had indicated that while my light is beyond the warranty period, they will have to check with their local dealers to see if they still have this part(s) for sale.
In any case -- I am looking to buy the rubber button, or the tailcap itself. I did found tailcaps of Klarus XT11 listed for sale. Will this work on the XT2C?
Thanks.

Honestly, I'm not sure. Your's is an older light and there might be differences in threading to keep them from being compatible...I KNOW a newer tailcap will not be because the different LED being used and because the UI has been significantly changed to make it impossible to interchange them. I believe that there is some circuitry within the newer tailcaps to accomplish the newer modes and they are not simply make or break switches.
I wonder though if you could effect a repair using liquid electrical tape, or perhaps some silicone.
