Is the 5700K HiCRI also? The SW30 is that is at least my expectation, even if it is not specified.

I would love a SW30 Aluminium rotary! Warm LEDs just work so well at night! Even my SST20 4000k rotary is too cool of a tint, for me at night.

Hmmmm.... After a reload I see it. Sometimes I hate the browser cache.

l was expecting something in $1000 after Hogo was mentioning this month ago. This is a cool price. But I hate the low number of Lights, only 20.

The price is $1050. You have to add $750 to the price of a Rotary.

It's better to find out now rather then later when you try to order and get a surprise.

Seems like noone is interestet in BeCu?

When I remember the good old times when bonze was in sale and later brass. There was a big discussion, we all could not wait. Also the Titanium preorder was more.... enthusiasm.

And now BeCu and here it is almost dead?

Im prepared, money ready and 4hours ago ive got company mail that due to France lockdown (and Germany) my airline is grounding whole fleet for next 45days minimum. My company is in France, im in Croatia and to get to France i need to pass through Germany.
Next 2 months im without a payment and i need to postpone this task
Hogo is it possible to prolong preorder?

I was all prepared too. But due to the dreadful current sars-covid situation here in Europe I need to be a bit careful with my expenses short term. Would be great with a second BeCu run later this year...

Henry is processing the orders now and I will talk with him about extending the pre-sale and making more BeCu to have for sale after the pre-sale one's are built. I don't like people missing out so I will see what I can do.

Titanium, Bronze, and Brass were quite active because it was pretty new to HDS... it had been a decade since a titanium had been built, so that certainly added to the excitement. Then I shut down some of the discussion people were re-hashing who had apparently not paid any attention to the first couple pages of the thread.

I saw that copper prices dropped 22% today, dare I say anything about a discount? (Just kidding!).

The run is a go. I talked Henry into leaving the pre-sale up for two weeks and we will add some lights to the initial 20 because of folks being stranded and the virus thingy causing uncertainty around the globe. I will work on him to get more made as well so that after the pre-sale ones get shipped, there will be some left for folks who couldn't jump on it currently because of the virus thing and all the uncertainty.

I think it was a lot of SS40 and NLT. This will probably change a lot after the other 3 get tested and the option to pick on of those goes live.

At first thanks to Hogo that you made a special metal light possible for 2020 Guess at the end this will be the only positive thing of this year. Basically I am done with 2020.

Also I like it the preorder is still open. so everyone has a chance. I do not like the 30s flash sales. This flash sales from outside locations of the US are sometimes almost impossible. Therefore HDS makes it perfect even for the people from overseas

I am really curious about the BeCu when it is finished. I can not wait to have it
Hogo are the BeCu's ready to ship now *kidding*

But the interesting part is how the knurling will come out. I know most machinists hate knurling and copper alloys since this copper alloys are kind of sticky if it is processed in a CNC. Will the BeCu looks like a normal HDS or is it also a special "no knurling" design?

For this reason the LF2XT BeCu (left AAA light) does not have knurling, and the right one the LF2XT Ti 3rd run (right AAA light) has knurling. Steve Ku explained this decision to me due to this copper sticky thing.

Would be interesting on how the first minute compares to titanium, bronze and copper. What I remember titanium was a big run. In the complete preorder phase there were ~40-50 lights sold.

Holy shit, all borders are closed. Germany, Austria.... Europe is basically "closed" at all. I hope everything went fine to you!

At the moment I am still working in my office. I hope that will be possible all the week, even if the normal way of living is done in germany since last evening. My company enhanced the VPN access capabilities in the last weeks from ~30000 connections to >100000 connections for the EMEA node.
Guess I will work than from home starting next week for a toooooooooo long time. I like it to be in office, makes things much easier if you need something to know you only go to the colleague and ask...

Had long discussions about the knurling with the machinist. It is one reason we are moving to cut knurling, though this presents some serious health hazards to the machinist that he has to account for in his shop as BeCu dust is not something you want to inhale. I was actually surprised he even agreed to do it but he has the right equipment to do it safely. BeCu is also very hard... the hardest of all the copper alloys and nearly as hard as some knife steels.
