This light is too dang expensive so I am not sure if it will make it to my store...But its nice to know its mod-able.

The two acebeams, the weltool, and the maxtoch are the only WEPs I know of. Are there any better ones? Or did you take the LEP module of the W30 and put it in a larger aspheric?

There are a few others, microfire for one, but not toys. The upcoming 20,000,000cd microfire is going to be $4-5k. I'm on the list with them, if/when it shows up I plan to take it out with all my other LEPs, my CFT-90 BLF GTvn, a Maxabeam, and the Xevision Superpower and do some neat beam shots - I just spoke to a photographer buddy that has night-shot experience and he's all gung-ho to do it...

Microfire S90? Looks insane lol.

So Vinh has put his fet driver in the W30 and driven it even harder?

Yes. It is getting some tweaks to design, and they are concentrating on a big contract for the lesser model right now, so it's a waiting game for now. But based on the credentials of the engineer/designer and the quality I've seen in their other lights, it could be a real beast.

Re: First V54 LEP light ;-)

I think the W3vn can be driven even harder like the W30 but I am too chicken since this is a very expensive light.

Re: First V54 LEP light ;-)

Seems like LEP scales extremely well the larger the head gets. Weltool is 33mm and gets 170kcd. W30 is 61mm and hits 1.7mcd.
S90 is 160mm and hits 20mcd!
