First off the seller mentions made in USA but the tailcap says otherwise.

It's likely some sort of reproduction meant for an anniverssary of some point.

By the 1950's eveready were made in various countries but China was not listed in the well researched book on Eveready by Bill Utely. Hong Kong was but the tailcap would have been stamped Hong Hong not China.

During the 1950's Chinese factories were still in stone age the so flashlights made there were poorly fashioned rolled steel with lots of flaws at joints and such. By the 1970's they had begun to produce things that rivaled American products.

Attached are lists of countries where Eveready lights were produced from the beginning. Also shown are tailcaps from a long time ago.

So that light was probably made in 1993 or later.

The previous photos were directly posted through the CPF app(le).

This one using Chrome via links from postimg.

Much better

Please forgive me, I'm still learning to pros n cons of a pita Chrome on an iPhone versus the CPF app.

When posting a photo onto the CPF app(le) it seems to be meant for viewing on a 3-5" screen. About 300-400 resolution. Extra large thumbnails I suppose. Zoom in and it gets blurry on my iPhone. So I figure same goes on the big screen cpu or mac. Using Chrome allows posting from a sharing site where an 800 res cleans it up better. But Chrome on an iPhone is like trying to use a croquet mallet to play tennis. Yeah it can be done, yet it's not real fun.

Wouldn't the Made in China Under License from EBCI marking indicate production sometime after Ralston Purina bought Eveready in 1986?
