First off the seller mentions made in USA but the tailcap says otherwise.
It's likely some sort of reproduction meant for an anniverssary of some point.
By the 1950's eveready were made in various countries but China was not listed in the well researched book on Eveready by Bill Utely. Hong Kong was but the tailcap would have been stamped Hong Hong not China.
During the 1950's Chinese factories were still in stone age the so flashlights made there were poorly fashioned rolled steel with lots of flaws at joints and such. By the 1970's they had begun to produce things that rivaled American products.
Attached are lists of countries where Eveready lights were produced from the beginning. Also shown are tailcaps from a long time ago.
Up to 1982
Up to 1993
So that light was probably made in 1993 or later.
