Hey there. I am a bit picky about the lights I buy these days in the sense that I want something from them, maybe more throw, or more flood, or more lumens etc. So when I saw a PD35 size light that has 1600 lumens I had to buy one. I got mine from myfenix.co.uk as usual. So I will post the 2 videos I have currently and if I add more I will add them to this post.

Better night footage using a body camera which functions better in low light. You can really see the modes extremely well...

Over all I am really happy with this because I feel the beam is a bit wider and I think it makes it more useful all around. The clip is rather nice too, although I only started messing with the clip after recording. My hope is that the side button is good and strong because I recall seeing a review of another model which apparently had multiple people complaining that the side button popped out and they had the parts laying on a piece of paper to show what happened. But I have not seen such reports on the PD36R, but it is early days and I have little doubt that issue was a model-isolated incident since out of all my Fenix lights, I never had such a thing happen ever.

Does this light take any standard 21700 or is there some reason you need to use the supplied Fenix battery?

As far as I am aware, as long as it is a protected cell, it should be fine. Although I believe the led power indicator light in the button requires a Fenix brand battery.

I have uploaded better night beam footage by using a body camera which functions better in low light. I did not engage night vision, I left it in normal daylight but just the fact it has better low-light capability means you see a much better representation of how good the mode

Thanks for the videos! How long have you found the light to actually run at 1600? Is it a quick step down or fo you get some practical use of it? You may have alresdy stated it and I missed it.

I enjoy your videos as usual. Really thinking about picking up one of these lights. Nice to see a smallish 1000+ lumen light with good runtimes.
