    Default Database Problems?

I think there are some database problems running around today. It is taking over 20 seconds to load a page. When I click 'Mark all as read' the forum page I am currently on clears all the unread markers rapidly, but when I return to the parent forum it is still marked as having unread pages, and if I return to that forum, all the entries I marked as read are showing as unread again.

I am using Firefox 64-bit 68.0.1 under windows 10 1809. I have tried deleting my cache with no change in behavior.

And now that I have posted this problem, it seems to have disappeared. I always knew I had magic fingers!

I didn't want to start a "site is slow" thread but did note a change this morning. Mobile chrome but the app(le) runs normal.

Itís been on and off for over a week now; been a couple posts that were half hour debacles to edit, a couple lunches at work where I gave up waiting for the site to load. But the next minute it loads normally and everythingís fine..

    I use a VPN.
I will try switching my location to a different node next time it happens to check better.

It's been acting weird since last Friday. I wrote a PM and send it... it was slow to confirm. I thought it was ok, but when I check a couple of hours later, my PM was not in the 'sent items'. I had to re-write it and recall from memory what I had wrote .

Just happened again. Switched locations and it worked, but slowwwly.
    I'll take slowly over none.

The app hasn't been working for a few days now, and CPF on the browser has intermittently timed out for me over the past week.

Details say it's a DNS lookup error. There seems to be trouble in the routing tables as it does not time out/busy.

Thank you Greta for spending your day fighting Bots and China Telecoms.
I think one of the more talented members should do a cartoon showing you in full armour battling Bots.
Ps. I thought Bots was something that happened to me after a dodgy curry.

If I have to dress like this every time I get the Bots I'm giving up curry.

After the last two days of my not being able to reach the site, it is really running quicker now than I have ever experienced. Remarkable. Thank you for your efforts.
