3volt power in an Inova X1?

Would 3 volts in an Inova X1 pop the LED?? Anyone try this with some kind of different battery configuration? I'd love to brighten that little narrow beam up a whole lot.

Probably would not hurt the actual LED however may destroy the step up circuit.If you can get it apart you may change the resistor out to help but it is a pain to get this light apart.
I removed the optic in mine and shortened the light a little.Then replaced the optic with a cut down reflector.
It is now a lot better or at least more usable beam.The light is about3/4 of an inch shorter and has a beam similiar to my Ultra-G with a good spot and nice round corona.I like the light much better now but it was a pain to mod.
