any suggestions on what could be done to make this light submersible? im sure it would be a matter of an extra o-ring or something. OR is the weakness in the switch?, in which case im not going to even attempt messing with.

isn't it funny to have to have a flashlight made by a company called "Underwater Kinetics" and you can't even take the light "under" water??? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon3.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

UKE'S website says : "Waterproof to 10 feet".
if you want it have really dive proof, put the led module in to a Q40 or 2L.

oh, well i'll be! guess i should have gone straight to the source(Underwater Kinetics website) instead of just simply relying on the review........ /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ohgeez.gif 10 ft. will be plenty fine for me.

when i see, "not rated as a dive light", i automatically assume it's not submersible. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Dive lights have to go much deeper. They not only have to be water proof, they have to handle little things like presure that would activate a push-putton switch, pressure against teh lens, gas build-up in the light, etc.

I have taken the E-Led down to about 100 feet in the UKE 2L body, works great!

The led module does appear to have catalyst beads. It rattles when you shake it.
