There are quite a few. My favorite is Underwater Kinetics.
The Underwater Kinetics 2AA eLED Z2 is a nice example.
Made in the US too. They have plenty of other models as well.

I know of 65 but half of them are headlamps. The Petzl Pixa series are the best of the headlamps.

Pelican makes several 2xAAA plastic penlights. For 2xAA there is also the 2AA Streamlight Propolymer and the Inova Radiant AA.

The Streamlight ProPolymer Dualie is an interesting 3AA light. It's not very small, but it's a pretty nice light, and not large. Works very well with gloved hands and the dual lights make it a really flexible task light.
