    Default 18650 room light

I'm gonna be in enclosed areas, roughly 8x10 but up to 10x30..

Looking for an adjustable brightness lantern, focusing on battery length vs ultra brightness.

Something that can hang on a wall or have magnetic options would be great, mostly to illuminate a small work area, a couple feet wide, but also enough light to be used as a primary source of light if need be.

Don't wanna break the bank but don't want a 'super lantern 5000 lumens 800 hours battery best bright light camping military' either..

I've seen a couple of the generic camping lanterns on 'zon for $20ish but something tells me I'd be disappointed with them.

You will have to give more information.... lumens desired and runtime and how many 18650 batteries it can take.
I picked up a single 18650 lantern awhile back that is decent with 3 modes on white light and 2 on red light that is decent which sells for about $9 on ebay etc. I have also seen a work light that can handle 2x18650 and one that can take 4x18650 but have not had them to try out.
Fenix Split rings 1400+ sent, SWIVELS now available also!

    1-4 18650, not picky.

Illumination? Let's say enough light to read a book at a desk on low, and enough to illuminate a 10x10 area to 'normal' lighting standards on high..

If the high is higher or the low lower, that's fine as well.

TBH, I grabbed a solar powered lawn/garden light from the dollar store, and to be honest, I was kinda impressed... for a buck...

I went overnight camping this weekend and used a convoy S2+ with biscotti software and a diffuser as the tent lantern. It is programmable. I have it set for moonlight and four additional settings. Even at moonlight with night adjusted eyes, it is bright enough to read by, and low is plenty bright for a 6'x8' tent.

IIRC it'll run for 40 hours on low, and probably 3 times that on moonlight on a single charge.
It can be had in warm, neutral, or cool white tints.

    Overall cost is about $20.
