I have both V6 and V7. on paper the V7 has 400-500 less lumens but in use Iíll be dammed if I can see a difference. The V6 is a little brighter but if you donít have both with you and put them side by side no way can you tell.Beam shape and throw are the same. You will like the V7. Donít freak out that early models had more output. Just a number.

    Yep

Floody lights especially can vary a lot in total output and "look" pretty similar.

Ya that must be it because I have regular lights and throwers and I can most definitely see a 200-300 lumen difference. 500 lumens difference would be VERY noticeable. Not with flood lights though

Hah yeah I know not to trust the specs, this will however be a light that I'll be using pretty regularly for lighting up dark rooms so just wanted to confirm. Sounds like I'll be more than fine with what I'm getting.

The V8 will have 400 lumens so be glad you got the V7. LOL.

As for it just being a number, it is exactly that. However, that number matters. Would you buy a 200 lumen WC?
Oh wait, I am talking to the 4LLLL crowd.

You bought the right tint, 4000K is great, you will love it.

I know Elzetta mentioned they have new stuff coming out in the fall, so for me that's like a race against which one I end up buying. I can't damn wait. Hurry Malkoff, Hurry!.

A quick shot of my V7 and V2 wildcat. The V2 on a 18650 body is one awesome little power house.

Hey fish. Welcome back! Think there is anticipation over the potential for M61T/HOT in flat white configs. Probably a couple/ few months out.

Been enjoying the new M91BN and wildcat lately.

I recently picked up a M60W. It's probably the nicest m60 I've ever had. I love the tint. That said, what do you all do with your M60's? It's nice, but not necessarily the best beam profile for all around use. Also, do you think the M60 will be ok in an old Surefire G2? I'm concerned about heat.

The M60 by todayís standard is not all that great. And Iím being VERY kind. They do have some decent throw to them when used in a 3 cell. They donít get anywhere near as hot as the M61ís do but with half the output that makes sense. I have some in G2ís and they seem to work ok but I have never ran one continuously.

I feel the same way. I like it but am underwhelmed. Not sure I'll have much of a use for it. It was acquired in a trade. I really just wanted the host and considered the drop in a bonus. Back in its day it must have been really great.
