23 mph terminal speed does sound really low though. I wish I was smaller with a big fluffy tail to be able to survive a fall from a skyscraper.

Malkoffís got pictures up of his new style bodies in MD3-MD4. Not bad looking at all. Been wondering how the new style looks on the longer tubes. Itís better then I thought.

True that! I think the Hound Dog Super belongs to at least an MD3 for the power, and the balance! Would Gene make that grip pattern for the MD3, and MD4?

Oh, nice! Photos of the MD3, and MD4 bodies haven't been updated yet, so I thought he was testing it with the MD2.

You are correct. The Hound Dog Super with the new MD4 body is appealing.

If anyone is interested, the Keeppower RCR123A 860mAh batteries that output 3V seem to fit just fine in the MDC. They're longer than primary and 16340 cells due to the onboard USB charger but everything snugs down as it should without the sensation that anything is squished. A nice rechargeable alternative in the 3V head with decent capacity.

I just spent way too long trying to figure out what this references....

But the new bodies look AWESOME! Really has a much more custom/ bespoke look to them. I actually quite like the feel. I will always have a soft spot for that bland, right-in-your-face simplicity that was the old MD series, though. These are much more distinct.

    The pineapple design is interesting.

I wish it was smaller however. Shrink it 2-3 times.

LOL it's really bad when you don't even notice something like that. I guess I got too familiar with the HDS site this past week........

Once again, I have signed up to be notified when an item is back in stock(MDC AA 4000K this time), received the notification and had said item on the way the next day.

I am open to bribes if they do not require a compromise of character.

I keep going back and forth between the MDC AA and the MDC 1CR123a.
I can't decide. Both isn't the answer, either. lol

The mdc 123 is going to be brighter but bigger. I like the AA as batteries if need be can be found anywhere.

I think I would like the lumen output on the AA better. Right now the lowest output I have is 15-20.

The 123 is shorter. I think the AA wins me over if you had to pick one. I personally like to carry the CR123 as an EDC backup especially in the winter. For rechargeable/ night use, the AA is an easy winner for Eneloops and such and with L91s and low output runtimes is also great for long term emergency use. It's low output also makes it a great bedside/ EDC.....
