Rather than bump a decade-old thread, there has been new interest in the Malkoff VME bezel, with the recent re-release of another run in titanium.

Please use this thread to share pictures of your "lego" setups, as well as to discuss anything VME-related ....

Well, I moved thread related posts but they were made earlier than your OP by timestamp, archimedes. At least they're in the VME head thread now! :)

It's both. Threads fine without the dropin, gap with the dropin, sometimes goes askew till I back it out and level it.

The VME threads are fairly fine (narrow) .... There may be a little more resistance when loaded with a dropin, too, which could result in cross-threading if one isn't really careful.

I have gotten into a habit of gently "back-threading" items, until I feel the step-off indicating proper thread engagement. Wristwatch crowns in particular can be prone to problems, and costly to repair.

By the way, a small gap in the bezel is considered normal for most Malkoff dropins using the VME.

You could post a photo of that gap here, if you'd like to confirm.

How about a few more photos for the VME thread. :D Running the MDC 1xCR123 body and M31W drop-in.

Got a new VME head thanks to Gene & Cathy. Threaded perfectly this time but I hate the gap when you add the drop in
