I had the same problem with a FiveMega double headed body.the walls of the body were so thin that the module went straight down the middle without touching the side. To test it I was able to cock the module off to one side and then it made contact.I had high hopes for this build. Was going to run a flood on one end and a full power on the other but alas😞

Did you try to wrap the drop-in in aluminum foil or copper tape? I had to do that with some of my drop-ins with some LEEF tubes.

Yes, to make the short L1 set up work I had to make a washer out of sheet metal to fit beneath the head with the spring protruding from the hole in the washer. The longer L1 body had no contact issues with a variety of heads.

That AA tube is quite rare now, they are super compact. Thanks for posting that photo.

I am not sure. Are you saying there is a protective film that needs to be peeled off?

    How "blue" is it ?

Blue-blue, like sky blue ? Or faint blue, like if I tilt the lens and look at a reflection sideways it might be a little blue ?

Can you post a photo ?

No you are not !! I was cleaning my big screen just last week because the edges always looked dirty. I realized that the protective film was still on it. I’ve had the TV for 3YEARS!!! 😂😂😂😂

At least it wasn't "clear" (aka invisible) film on a stainless steel BBQ Grill that promptly bubbled, melted, and charred into place (sorta alleviating its intended protective effect on the nice finish) along with a burnt plastic smell

With that said, maybe I should point this thread back towards the main topic ?

    Thanks for the laughs, guys

When I got my first VME, I ran it for months before realizing there was a plastic film on the lens. I guess I'm lucky I was using a low power drop-in that didn't generate much heat.

    It’s a twisty 2xAA from Valiant Concepts.

I'm guessing they don't make the VME bodies anymore? I didn't see anything on the website. I'm not a fan of 2xaa but maybe in a different size; That's a cool body; especially in a twisty
