Is this essentially the ToolVN replacement?

Regardless, how does it compare to the ToolVN?

Regardless, how does it compare to the ToolVN? Even better. Classier and best build quality I have seen for these little lights. Price the same or cheaper than ToolVN CU too :-)

This is wicked! I got to fool with one if these thanks to GotLumens and it was stellar in its build, really really nice lights. I quite like the stock UI too, but this is nice to have for 10440 support! Have you put a white 1.1 in one yet?

Nice, can it be driven any harder? (1k lumens) I never bought a ToolVN since I was always comfortable carrying 18650 sized lights, so Iíd rather have a hot rod 1 size up from the ToolVN form factor.

    Do W1.1 LEDs fit?

How does the beam pattern and reflector compare to the ToolVN? More narrow and focused? Wider and shorter? Same?

Does it hold as many copper heatsink pills as the ToolVN?

Can we (eventually, I know youíre very very busy) get a side by side comparison of the ToolVN and this for reference, plus beam shots using the same XPL LED on a white wall?

    Link leads to Javelot Pro.

If W2 5400 turns out to be good I think it would be cool to have one in these.

Great looking and performing little light!

Itís a real shame that the clip is not interchangeable or facing the other way. The ToolVN was a great makeshift ball cap headlamp light, and this one would be even better with the improved runtimes and heat management. Does anyone know of an opposite facing clip that would work well with this light?

The clip from an Olight i3T works very well but the installation might leave some scuff marks since it goes around the body rather than being pinched between the body and the tail like the stock clip.

I once offered this cop that let me go with a warning a free light. I did after the fact so it wasn't a bribe.

in the market for a tiny EDC powerhouse! Albeit a very different kind (output vs throw)

Only thing is, boy I wish these came in brass!!

Many people say they like brass but brass lights doesn't sell well...This is why not many manufacture make lights in brass.

    • W2 5400K Max Turn On 720L, 10Kcd, 200m
    • Surprisingly high output and 10Kcd is alot for a tiny OP reflector

I haven't watched the video just yet but you had stated before that you saw no difference between a W2 standard and W2 5400K. Does that still appear to be the case or have you done some further comparison?

He he. Brass you say. What a great idea.

What would happen if you replaced the OP reflector with an optic? Could it throw like a triple/quad but 1/3rd output? Single large hot spot?

    Does W1.1 fit?

What are the XPL-HI throw/lux specs for comparison sake? Trying to determine the benefit of going W1/W2 over XPL-HI.

W1 is perfected. W2 needs a bit more work. I will make a video when both are ready.

Wouldn't a 5000L W1 be fun! ...but I think you meant to type in 500L

Impressive beams for such small lights. The W1 appears to have an overall, slight advantage in this particular host.

These look like really great lights and I hope to own one. So there is no step down from turbo, but how much does the output drop over time due to the battery draining and heat building up?

The output drop is fairly rapid for all high output 10440 lights and you can even see this during Vinh's short video. According to Vinh's findings, this light's output doesn't reduce due to thermal reasons, but because of the cell's limited ability.

Do 14500s and 16340s do the same? Or do they hang on for longer than the 10440s?
