Aside from runtime, 21700 high-drain options could also raise power ceilings for higher output modules. 21700 adoption is a win-win for the consumer.

I would like to see an MD2 and an MD4 21700 body tube and switch.

    Also, I would like to see a 3-6 C cell M*g dropin using the SST-20 4000K HCRI.

I would like to see a E2/Scout 600 head that works on 16650, has a balanced spot vs spill beam profile, with over 20k candela and over 750 lumens. Over 25k candela and over 900 lumens preferred. Also preferred in the small head format but the larger XT size head could also work. I would buy five at least, right away.

How about a single cell E-series head with SST-20 and TIR.
    200-600mA draw, ideally with step-down.
    Perfect outdoor tool

I'm hoping this comes down the road. Especially with the Osram KSMs.....

3 level drop in without PWM (or at least a higher frequency that would not be as visible).

3000k - 3500k is the also the sweet spot for me. I believe if there is enough demand gene might be willing to make a run of these.

I would really love a warm tinted mdc. What would be preferred ? In AA format or 123 format ?
Getting the urge to see how many he needs accounted for in order to make this a possibility.

An upgrade for the M61HOT: 40K+ cd, and 1.5K lumens. Cherry on top: 21700 body.

This is almost certainly coming down the pipeline, they just need to get rid of their XP-L stock first I believe.

I remember that the M61HOT was out of stock for a while, but then came back with the same specs. If it were as you said, I couldn't wait.

Just carry the Hound Dog XT 18650.

The whole time I thought the 18650XT has a direct drive. Nevertheless, it's quite big for an MDC. The current M61HOT is a great general light to me, but a bit lacking for outdoors. I have a 47 MMX-360, good for indoor, not so much for outdoor.

    Oh I was just joking.

I do keep looking at the E2XT and XTD headsÖ I canít commit but I canít look away.

im trying to reason if they are a realistic handheld option. I suppose by design itís to be used as a WML looking through optics.

    Oh !
As you said, the E2XT(D) is designed as a WML, since they focus more on throw than flood. An alternative to those would be the Modlite PLHv2, with 54k cd and 1k+ lumens. That is as close as I can think of for an EDC with both big throw and spill.

That Modlite is a serious light.

I guess I'll just keep carrying the Super Hound Dog in a Kenai Chest Holster. haha

Haha, that's some serious punch outdoors.
