Default a mechanically actuated brake light: SIGMA SPORT // BRAKELIGHT

Deceleration sensors are becoming more common, but here's one that is linked to the brake cable. So you could "flash" your brakes to get attention.

I always thought that one that monitors the brake cables would be better than a deceleration sensor. Like how one can tap their brake pedal in their car.

i ride about every other night, a hour or two, lots of people do in NYC, especially in my area, Far rockaway boardwalk, i've yet to see anyone with deceleration censors based brake lights, half of the people have flashing lights, some even changing pattern lights, some have no lights at all, so i have to rely on my own headlight to see them, actually i think most of the bikes with lights, where i ride, are rental lime E bikes.
