Can rechargeable aaa batteries be used in the Streamlight micro stream flashlight?

Nimh like Eneloops can. Not sure about lithium ion but don't think so...

1.5 volt type, yes.
3+ volt type, no.

I asked them about this through the website some time ago and they replied to me that they does not support batteries other than those specifically listed in the instructions. And the last time I checked they only listed alkalines on the manual. So it will most likely work, but for some reason it is not official.

I've used NiMh cells in my microstream for years and haven't noticed any negative effects.

I suspect a higher voltage chemistry would damage the light.
