Hey guys,

Looking for a stout pouch I can stick my M3 (non-turbohead) in to carry in a backpack.

I like the old school ones with the flap and buckle, fully enclosed, not the quick-draw holster ones.

Black nylon/cordura, molle compatible or at least a belt loop/clip maybe?

Whatcha got?

FOUND: Got a line on a Surefire suppressor pouch from Ebay, we'll see how it fits.

That's not a proper pouch for the M3. Some over- or under-fitting may occur

So far there exists only a few proper pouches for the M3:
a. Blackhawk: open head-down pouch for the M3. Released during the early 2000s. Discontinued;
b. Ripoffs CO/BL-112: head-up carry with flap closure

I also have a slightly modified version of (a) made by Centaurus Gear. Modifications include an elongated pouch for slightly modified M3 setups (esp. one with a 1xCR123a extender installed), as well as improved materials. It's still available by custom order.

Hey Yaz,

Yeah, the old Blackhawk one with the flap was what I had in mind. BlazerNL had one similar, either the M3 or M3T version in a sales thread that got me thinking about it. I think SOE made some in the same timeframe with that faceted cover and buckle.

I ended up getting the suppressor pouch and put my Hound Dog (MD3) in it because I was tired of it banging around in the bottom of my backpack. Works pretty well. Got the coyote for visibility because too much black cordura all over the place. 🤣

Thanks for checking back! M3 is still by my bed, so I'm good on pouches for it, but I appreciate the part # references!
I will look those up.

The Blackhawk pouch has no flap -- you may have gotten confused. Older discussion here
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?2855-Blackhawk!-for-M3

So far there's no holster option for the M3T or anything that houses the KT4 (eg. M4, M6).

The Ripoffs reference is here
https://www.ripoffs.com/datasheets/co112/co112.html

As for the modified Blackhawk from Centaurus Gear I'll post pics on that later.

Apologies to JP for using his sale thread as a reference, what's the M6 pouch in his thread?
https://www.candlepowerforums.com/v...ghts-and-Parts-Turbohead-KT1-SPLIT-UP-PACKAGE!
I don't know -- can't see clearly. But if I remember correctly, Blackhawk might have made an M6-specific pouch with flap back then...

Or is that Ripoffs instead? They do have the CO-159 but I've never seen or tried one myself

Out of courtesy to other active WTB threads, let's move any further discussion to one of the many SureFire threads.

Thanks in advance :)

If you'd like to start a thread there, I'll close this one, and be happy to move over all of the posts following the OP.

(although the latter will have to wait until I have PC access, as that is too difficult from mobile)
