Hi, is this possible to do using this: https://www.banggood.com/200W-10A-D...campaign=pa-gb-all-pc-zouzou&cur_warehouse=CN or am I getting it wrong as usual? Also could another one of these work for 6V dynamo type lights? I know you can buy ebike specific lights and I have a front Spanninga Axendo and rear Spanninga Elips of this type, both rated 6-36V, but I would like to hook up the Magichshine (I think it is an MJ808E) as well as a "high beam" for unlit roads, with a switch in line to cut it when a vehicle is coming towards me. Also I have a spare set of 6V LED dynamo lights which I would like to use on my wife's about town ebike, also 36V.

EDIT: or this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-LM25...575442?hash=item28229f9492:g:~gMAAOSwICpZ6kPq
2A is enough for the dynamo lights, not sure for the Magicshine

Great, Magicshine 4 x 18650 battery pack gives 8.4V at full charge, would the lamp be using under or over 2A at that voltage?

it shouldn't be over

Those LEDs are around 10W but usually underdriven ~ 6W so you'll have no problems with that converter. If you can find something with 3 or 4 amps you'll be good in case you want to upgrade to a dual XML light though.

Wired this up the other day and the Magicshine works fine with it. The display does not work but that is no big deal, I just adjusted it to the same output as a fully charged battery with my multimeter. I have a motorcycle type on/off switch on order which will make it a lot quicker to switch it off, but the motorcycle switch will need to be switched back on straight after switching off, so the lamp is ready to be switched back on with it's own switch and it is a shame that the Magicshine switch is so awkward operate, especially with gloved hands.
