Is that you quoting the YouTube video reviewer, or do you give the Nicron N7 as a gift?

It does look like a great flashlight, I'm tempted myself. Keen to know whether it can take protected 14500 cells, or whether it has a low voltage cut off to protect the lithium cell - as it can also take AA I suspect it doesn't have a low voltage cut off for lithium, but I could (and hope) I am wrong. I couldn't find any information on this on the Amazon reviews.

I made the video so I guess its both

I gave the one I had here to a friend, but IIRC protected cells did not fit.
