I recall reading elsewhere that the gorilla may have been taunted by some teenagers. Obviously, facts are difficult to compile in these situations, but I can imagine that a healthy gorilla, teased and pelted with pebbles or rocks, might have been enraged enough to scale the 15 ft. enclosure. An angry gorilla would explain the personal injuries to innocent people nearby. From what I understand, gorillas are normally docile and peaceful.

i heard that about the kids to.man whats the matter with people today.pestering a caged animnal.

With the way things are going in Africa right now, maybe caged animals will be all we have left soon.
