+1. I've been using dc-fix on a neutral (4000K) Hound Dog for a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure why I would ever need to buy another Wildcat. With an extra clear window/lens, it's like having two lights in one.

search DCFix onHome Depot’s site. You want the “Milky”. It’s $10 for a roll that will last you the rest of your life and then some.

That DC-fix is great stuff. Only been using it a few months on some of my Malkoff lights. It’s makes for a very floody beam with not a lot of loss of output.

I'm definitely going to give it a try. I've seen some of the pictures posted and like the results.

I really hope for an M61HOT M91 HOT with the W2 emitter. If that doesn't happen naturally which I'm pretty confident the other ones will, we will certainly be organizing a group buy for one. I mean, of course, anyone can arrange a GB, but I also don't think anything would happen now anyways given what has been hinted at, among other crazy world things.

Dot has gene said the emitters will possibly change across the board?

In other words , are the mdcs planning on getting the upgrade as well?

I didn’t read every post in this thread so perhaps I missed it, but what does “White 1 and White 2” mean?

I think white 1 is the black flat white, white 2 is the flat white and flat white 2.1 is the latest one. I think so.

I’d choose W1 for sure (M61/91). In bigger reflectors i’d go with W2.

It depends on what you want. I wouldn't want Gene to replace the great room-lighter beam of the standard M61 with a thrower, but having it as an option would be nice.

Of course but these emitters are awesome candidates for M61/91T or HOT series.

Imo yes. No doubt he will still have Dropins that are general purpose with a wider beam. But for outdoors use having a MD2/3 with considerable more throw is a plus. For me anyways. If your lights are used 95 percent indoors then they would not be a good choice. But for those that spend time with there lights outside, then yes. Guess it just depends on what your doing.

There great for closer work. I grabbed a 91T for the same reason The 91B is a great Dropin. I use mine all the time but yes it is very floody. The 91T is NOT at all I’m really liking mine

I think the M61 will stay as it is, the M61T might see the change.

But i must say that Gene will need to redesign present shelf/reflector dimensions to get artifact free beam.
If you remember 219B emitters gives you rings in the beam just because of the fact that Nichia domeis smaller and lower than XPG.
Having Osrams in it will 100% give a lot of artifacts if emitter height is not adjusted in relation to reflector focal point...
    Just a thought.
Maybe that is the reason he use TIR in present modules E2X and HDXT

Love the M61HOT now, if there is a run with W1 emitters it would be incredible. Love me some throwy but useable lights.

The HDXT without diffusers has very distinct rings. It also has a pretty large hot spot that really throws nicely and is quite useable without the diffusers. I don’t mind the rings for my uses of throwing it across fields that are 2-300 yds. However, the diffusers are necessary (hence why included) to tame all that output if using it for shorter distances.

Thanks for the technical info on the emitters!
