    Default The LLLL's

Other than the Oveready M61NLLLL - 4000k XPG2, has any other LLLL's of any kind been made before? I know the M61LLLL W is in production at the moment, and I was just wondering if that is the second of the LLLL series?

    Thanks,

    RL

With just over 100 views it is my feeling the Oveready M61NLLLL's were the only LLLL drop in's made.

Unless anyone can confirm there were others.

What is the out the front lumen output and current draw for the LLLL?

    I have these three.

    https://malkoffdevices.com/products/...re-and-malkoff
    M61NLL (neutral tint, lowest output)
output is approximately 80 measured out the front lumens. The current draw is only 140ma at 6 volts.

    https://malkoffdevices.com/products/...o-fit-surefire
    M61LL (lowest output)
output is approximately 100 measured out the front lumens. The current draw is only 150ma at 6 volts.

    https://www.illumn.com/malkoff-devic...ll-219bv3.html
    Malkoff Devices M61LLL 219B V3
output is 60 measured out the front lumens. The current draw is 125mA at 6 volts.

These LLLL are going to run a LONG time. I still say your going to get 100 hours off them with certain batteries . Not full power but pretty good light even at the end.

I found it very interesting that with the H/L ring on low it lost output, but jumped up in current draw.... guess the H/L's resistor is higher than the draw from the dropin. Gets around 81ma draw w/ H/L ring on low, @9V. So no benefit there....

I wonder if we could get a group-buy for a much lower H/L ring? Maybe I'll just break out the soldering iron...

Ya theses are so low on draw and output I was thinking something like that might happen with the hi/lo ring. Good to know

Is this the group buy? For the life of me, I could never find where to sign up for it. I would have been in for two or three for sure, but I guess it would have been a want more than need, so I'm happy to hang onto the money.

So I figured Iíd kill two birds with one stoneĒ I always liked that expressionĒ I have 2 WM61LLLL coming in. Iím going to put one in a G3 with 3 primaries and 1 in a G3 with 2 AAís. What AA I do not know. I have always had best meaning longest runtimes with regular alkaline. But courteous to see 2X energizer lithium us as well. 🤔🤔

Way they came. I was thinking the same thing tho. 😁 they really are a great level of light. But there a difference beam pattern then all my other Malkoffís.Might just be me but looks like 95 percent of the light is in the hotspot. Very little spill. But again only had them 30 minutes 😁

Mine def has the traditional M61 hotspot with spill. Pretty much looks like 3000K. Very warm, but the eyes adjust to it just fine. ITs awesome! Mine is riding in my Sky Lumen Nguyen, should get good runtime on 21700. LOL.

    Now THAT'S an honor PSM.

I find that when I white wall hunt with very warm lights I don't think I like the color. But when I use a light for a long time, I REALLY appreciate it.

Burly, I don't think there will be any tears. I think it may well be dead-nuts-neutral. I am so happy this worked out!
