I was cooking for my parents yesterday (lasagna). The dinner was mostly a success. I say mostly because I managed to burn the sauce a bit and left a thick layer of black stuff at the bottom of a enamel sauce pan, and it was close to impossible to rub off. I was a bit embarrassed and promised to remove it from my mom's pan. So is there anyone out there who has any experience of cleaning enamel surfaces? I need your help!

Thanks

And, if needed, boil on stove with lots of water for a while to release any black stuff on the bottom. Finish up with soak of white vinegar and water to bleach out any stains.
