After many months of delays, I'd like to introduce the Black PVD Balaton and the new clip I've designed for this light. To start with the "Black PVD" version, PVD is an ultra-hard coating achieved by physical vapor deposition that's very resistant to physical damages. The underlying lights are made of Titanium, and have been mirror polished before having them coated, to achieve a mirror polished PVD finish. Although it is similar in color to Zirconium, it differs in hue which is a deeper black and also its price tag, which is much lower than lights made of Zirconium. For more information on this flashlight you can find links at the bottom of this post and read the full introductory post of from last year. Now let's move onto the clip. If you're unfamiliar with this light, here is a little back story about the clip design and shape. At the time I've released the Balaton, I knew I wanted to make a clip for it, I just wasn't sure the exact look I'd go for, all I knew I wanted something a little different, than a bent wire clip. I've left a small ring under the tail cap, which allowed me to design something, which the owners of this light can just remove and replace with the clip, instead of having to ship back the light to me to modify. In theory it was a simple solution at the time, but I nearly painted myself into a corner when the time came to start a design. Well, these are the results of what I could come up with, and which I thought would compliment the design of the light. I've had certain design elements I wanted to implement, but required careful planning and a few revisions in the design. One of these were the screws. I wanted to make a two-piece clip connected with screws, but screws needed to be very small in order for this design to work. I hope you like this design, which I believe will make a statement weather it's in or out of the pocket. It is fully machined using Grade 5 Titanium and M2 x 0.4 Titanium screws. One of the pictures shows the different operations this clip went through to complete Let me know what you think.

10 Black PVD and 10 Titanium lights will be released next Thursday 4/9/2020 around 6:00 – 6:30 PST in case you wanted to pick one up. I'm nearly at the end of Balaton sales as there is not much left after these are gone, so I'll be moving onto a different design.
