Triple XP-L Hi Convoy C8.

- Convoy C8 Host
- Cree XP-L Hi V2 1A LEDs wired in parallel
- McR18 Reflectors
- Custom made Alu heatsink + cover
- Custom made brass driver can
- LED4Power LD-A4 driver 6A
- Custom made brass contact

Runs off 1x 18650 cell.

This is the successor of my Tri-XPE Aleph3.

I built a Convoy C8+ as well with a single XP-L2 Hi using the same LD-A4 driver running at 3A max. It's a great thrower. Obviously the C8 is brighter, throws less but has more spill. Together they are a great combo for my adventurous bike trips in SE Asia.

Over the standard C8 reflector setup, what made you drop 3 smaller ones in? Just after the sexier beam profiles of the MCRs?

More lumens, more spill and of course the challenge to build it.

As you might have seen in the chain of links I built several versions of my first Triple Aleph3 from 2005.

The Aleph3 is history now and this C8 (and the C8+) is the perfect host to build a modern version of the Triple Aleph's.

And... like said in a few posts earlier in this thread my Single C8+ and Triple C8 are a great combo for my adventurous motorbike trips in SE Asia! :sweat:
