Hello. I am new to high end flashlights and I am here looking for all your advice. I dont plan to collect, but I am looking for that one great EDC flashlight. If you are forced today to keep and use only one light for EDC, what would it be and why? Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you in advance.

If you want one and only one, HDS is hard to beat. I don't have one but I want one. Other quality lights would be Surefire, Elzetta, Malkoff, and then there are all the customs; mcgizmo, etc.

All depends what you want your light to do/ be.

Without knowing what you are seeking regarding price, output and how it'll be carried I'd say the HDS rotary is about as close to the ultimate range'd lighting tool made and it's built like a tank. Easy to carry and backed by the owner himself.
Pretty pricey, so be prepared.

Welcome to CPF.

It depends on what you are looking for in a flashlight. From what I understand is HDS is well built, but they are not high output lights. I personally prefer high output for times I really need to light up an area.
