Default Convoy FWD Switch retrofit at a Dereelight DBS

well, I have been hunting lost lumens on this flashlight to thsi flashlight, due to electrical resistance....

at first i replaced the thin and long switch spring with a hard, thick aftermarket one (see intl-outfdoor) and did a wire pass by.

    Still performance was poor

So I bit the bullet and replaced the original forward click switch with a Convoy Hi-Amp FWD Click

The new switch is a lot larger in diameter and height, and would not fir on the original PCB.
So I did a PCB sandwich with a new 20mm board.

Luckily the tailcap has a large white spacer and removing it made me the needed height.

Then I made and added a locating washer out of a soda bottle cap

It worked...Combined with the spring mod, I gained 1/3 of the output (running a high amp BLF A6 Driver)

Looks good. Switches are like a type of voodoo to me. Itís surprising how much resistance some have. It would be nice if there were more options out there for reliable, high current switches, especially more forward clickes.

Do you know how much current that one can handle?
