    Help Another Newbie from Texas

I've made infrequent brief visits here for many years but I've got a few questions to ask to hopefully minimize my cost of acquiring the most useful hardware.

Welcome fellow Tejas hombre. I lived in Houston for a total of twenty years (5 years (1982-87), then a five year stint in 'nother state, then 15 years back in Houston). I received my naturalization papers from the Sam Houston Chapter of the Sons of Texas in 1999. I'm in Ohio now. Whereabouts are you located?

I sleep in Abilene and my land is in Nolan County, the next county west.

I've had 2 successful cervical spinal surgeries at Methodist Hospital in Houston (04/92 & 09/93). The first surgery should have been years sooner but the 2 doctors in Houston were the 7th and 8th specialists I went to. I'm not as good as I should be but I'm still here.

Regarding he back surgery, my advice: avoid bull riding, including the mechanical kind.

Apropos of nothing, a former colleague was stationed at Dyess AFB, but that was a lonnnnng time ago.

Anyway, glad you're still here, and welcome to the party.

Thanks Dave, my spinal issues are a long story beginning in childhood and compromised by inadequate medical intelligence. But I'm here to obtain good information and I am happy with the the responses I have received. Most of life's complications can be dealt with and improved by good information both for hardware and intellectual needs.
