GH24/GH24F Usage

One of you old-timers, with better memory than mine, please refresh my memory as to what these bulbs are used for.

I know they were for a Mag, but I forget the configuration.

It's been a long time since I have seen that model number on a bulb. I'll tell you what I remember. The GH24 is a halogen bulb that was available in different bases like screw in push in and bi pin. It was about 200 lumens and worked in 5 and 6 cell C or D mags. It could be used in 2D mags with 3AA in series to D adapters. The other popular fuel was 3xcr123 which could be shoe horned into a 2C mag since 3xcr123's are only a little longer than 2xC and of course the 2D had plenty of room. The company was called reflectalite and they were in the UK. Back in 2004 and 2005 when the bulbs were popular there were US based sellers.

I don't remember a GH24F.

Ah thanks, that's it. I used them in the 3xCR123 Mag configuration. The "F" were the frosted version of the bulbs.
