I just got an ARC 4+ 2nd and WOW! what a light! I want to replace the lexan lens with a UCL glass lens from flashlightlens.com and wanted to know the best way to remove the retaining ring that holds the lens in place. I went to ARC chat and they said to use a spanner wrench but does anyone have tips on what kind of wrench to use and where to buy one?

Thanks,
Ted

Mentioned already several times here but a while ago.
Wellcome here, Ted. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Use needle nose pliers for retaining rings or something like that. It is not blody tight. Just be careful not to slip the nose of the pliers to the new lens. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm using the lens from flashlightlens.com right now. The colour and intensity of the beam is much improved. Definetely worth the $4.50 or whatever it was.

As mentioned just get a spanner wrench and that will do the job quite easily.
