Change Colour Temperature of Overhead Bathroom Light

We've just moved into a new house.
The bathroom lights are too bright and far too cool. I've been using a 4500k Nichia Triple in there and and the light is so much more appealing. Before I mess our brand new bathrooms around, I wondered if anyone had an idea of how to lower the CT of the current lights. I was thinking of a cross between DC Fix and a Lee Filter about 9 inches diameter to cover the translucent disc that covers the leds. Maybe old fashioned filters for theatre lighs would be big enough?

I know it would be fun to replace all the emitters with nice Nichias, but I'd like to explore a more straightforward solution first.

You can use a Lee CTO filter. Specifically made to drop the color temp.

That's a cheap builder quality fixture. Just get a new one that you like.

Yes, you'll have to shop a photography or videography supplier but they exist

Thanks you, I've found 1m x 500mm sheets at a Stage Lighting supplier.
I've started with ******* Amber as I seem to remeber that was a good one when I was trying to do the same thing with a Muyshondt.

The filter sheet arrived today, what a difference.....


Lousy picture, but you get the idea.
I'm looking forward to Mrs Yeti's reaction (if any) when she gets in tonight.
I've put the filter in both bathrooms, one of which has no natural light.
The light in there is now a warm orange / pink tint, not too extreme, it's just about right.
We shall see......
