Thank you for the nice review.
I wish I had waited for this one instead of jumping on the E10. This seems a better light than just a fancy toy.

A very nice and thorough review. Great beam shots. It looks to be a super duper thrower, and possibly combined with a good headlamp would make a nice walkabout kit.

Very interesting light. LEP lights always seemed a toy to me because of impractically narrow beam and nearly 5 times lesser phosphorus layer life time.

Interesting. Was ready to take the leap on a LEP but, for the price, it may be nice to pick this one up 1st. Maybe even 2...green and a white.

I know they are different animals....probably end up with a LEP in the future just because this is CPF!

Default ACEBEAM L17 - World's Furthest Throwing 18650 Tactical Flashlight

Would I notice a difference between my Klarus XT12GT and the Acebeam L17?

    (I assume I would.)

These things sell out fast. I ordered soon after I git a stock notice but they were already sold out. Thinking that's a good sign.

yeah a much tighter hotspot with a fair bit less spill, that Klarus is no slouch in throw or output but the L17 will reach out that little bit further
I'm glad I found CPF, I was beginning to think I was strange

Thank you! That is what I was thinking and hoping for. Of course, most people here will think my reason for this quite silly, but so be it. I own a horse and sometimes ride him at night. I typically wear a cap with a light on it or sometimes a helmet with a LED light on it. I also have one, or both, of my Klarus XT12GT lights with me, too. I just love to light up the county forest and see what animals I can see at night. Usually, it is white-tailed deer. Perhaps the further reach of the Acebeam L17 would do a bit better job of that.

You'd be well served to get the L17 with the green LED option. Battery Junction has those in stock I believe. Even more throw with the green!

Output measured at 2 seconds from turn on using Texas Ace Lumen Tube calibrated with Maukka lights. Color measured using Sekonic C-800-U.

    Acebeam L17 Turbo 1,141 lumens 7110K -0.0042 DUV 70.7 CRI Blue light relative amplitude 1.00 -12.6 R9 42.2 R12 64 Rf 96 Rg VTC5D
    Acebeam L17 High 293 lumens 6200K 0.0037 DUV 66.9 CRI Blue light relative amplitude 1.00 -36.9 R9 36.3 R12 63 Rf 95 Rg VTC5D
    Acebeam L17 Mid 131 lumens 6012K 0.0056 DUV 67.0 CRI Blue light relative amplitude 1.00 -39.9 R9 34.9 R12 64 Rf 94 Rg VTC5D
    Acebeam L17 Low 40 lumens 5769K 0.0081 DUV 66.9 CRI Blue light relative amplitude 1.00 -45.0 R9 33.0 R12 65 Rf 93 Rg VTC5D
    Acebeam L17 Moonlight 9 lumens 5403K 0.0109 DUV 66.5 CRI Blue light relative amplitude 1.00 -49.2 R9 31.2 R12 66 Rf 92 Rg VTC5D

The light is huge for an 18650. It is larger than most 21700 lights. For this size, I don't understand why Acebeam didn't just make it a 21700 light? I like how with this optic, the spill gets dispersed evenly so the hotspot stands out more than from a reflector light.

Really getting a kick out of this light. Just had it out with my Surefire Dominator. Turbo matches about 7 on the Dominator....pretty impressive for an 18650 light. The low is very useable with a very nice flood beam. Recommended.

Think I need a green one.....
