Ok, If I use a McFlood, what is the best dome Lux to use?
I'll be using a R/O if it matters..
1) HD or LD? What's the difference in beams? Which is more usefull for illuminating a whole room?

2) What LED was used in the Black Widow McLux... Were they Red or R/O? If R/O then it was a HD as that is all that was made back then...

Don't know about #2, but I prefer HD's with McFloods - they tend to give a very wide and uniform flood-like hotspot with a softer corona and spill. LD's work well too but with a much softer transition from spot to spill.

With the HD is it brigther beam? I think it will still be wide enough with a HD to light up a large portion of a room.
I like uniform brightness hotspots.

Is the spill/hotspot on a HD too sharp of a drop off, I mean is the hotspot distracting?
