What is a reputable brand of NiMH C and D cells?
I know Energizer are out.
Its a shame Panasonic doesn't produce eneloops in those sizes.
It seems like Tenergy is fairly popular. But I've come across reviews of bad quality control.
Powerex seems good as well but the price of nearly $30 for a pair of D cells is a might high....unless they're worth it.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you

They make 2-3 AA to D adapters and some AAA to C adapters you could use with eneloops. Personally I've replaced as many of my C and D cell devices with ones that use 18650 and AAs as I find the cells are too expensive for me to invest in for what I use them for.

I do have quite a few of the adapters. They work well and i totally agree with your point on functionality, but the C and D cells have a much higher capacity overall. Thats what im going for with the C and D cells.

Lithium ion has higher power density than nimh does so the only time you win in capacity is when you have low drain devices and use alkaleaks.
