I haven't forgotten...hopefully we're still on track for April!!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW - what a ride!!!
Yes, bring on some more the low K LED emitters please!
The 4000K Samsung in my ZL SC64LE is awesome, but yes 3500K Nichia 219b would be great.
In no order: HDS/Malkoff/OVEREADY/McGizmo/Sky Lumen -PSM
All done.
SDR50's coming back.
Amber coming back.
SW30, SW35, SW40, and SW45 all coming back, and all for standard lights.
Fantastic news!!!
In no order: HDS/Malkoff/OVEREADY/McGizmo/Sky Lumen -PSM
So...excuse my ignorance about this, but I’ve a couple of questions...
1. Any idea of a real ETA for these, specifically, the SDR50?
2. Will this be the same emitter described here in post #1?
3. Any way to put this emitter in the NLT body, or is the footprint too large?
Thanks!
The beauty of Science hugely outranks the charms of superstition
In for the SW35!!!
Yes, this is the same. Exact same bin code. 300 lumens of high CRI. We had them in stock up until about... a week ago. Then the dumbass keeping track of them lost track (that would be me) and we ran out. Already have these at HDS but they need to be mounted to the board.
I figured as long as we have to get a bunch of these mounted, we might as well secure all those others, which we did today, so they can all get mounted together. Our new military vendor here in Tucson will be doing the mounting, which is good.
Real ETA... Damn. Henry 2 weeks?... No. Not that long. I expect the emitters we secured today to be at HDS in a week. Then I would say at least a real two weeks to get them mounted (our new vendor is pretty quick). After that we will probably run out of 123 Rotary tubes (I was on the phone with the machinist today to get an update as they were ordered some time ago.).
Probably not on track for the 18350/18500 at this point for April. Ugh. Hopefully not long past April as the machinist is doing those, 123, and 18650 battery compartments. for us now and there is very little setup difference between those tubes. Went through the 18650 tubes this last year twice as fast as in the past. 18650 has become a lot more popular than it had been. This is all for Rotary. Lots of Executive parts... that poor red-headed step-child of HDS.

Woohooohooooo.... That is great
In my opinion the best HDS LED choices.
Only an additional question will the SDR55 also come on standard lights? I have a great hopes for this option, since i also like the "High Noon"...
I am in for a 219B SW30, Amber and if it comes a SDR55 in standard lights![]()

Still looking for Surefire G2 in Orange.
If you have one you don't like please PM me.
Hogo stated there were a few tubes done than ordered in the pre-order. Bu my guess is that "a few" really means only a few. HDS is a small company and it really makes no sense having a great supply of parts that lasts for a too long time.
That could be the chance on replacing the CR123 tubes with 18350 tubes as standard, there is only the need to increase the number of pieces that has been ordered
*Sorry I could not resist*

21700 should prove to be popular if and when. I have nearly as many 21700 cells as 18650 at this point.
I've searched but couldn't find anything.
Has anyone modded their HDS with an Osram led ?
I've always been a sucker for throw, wondering how that performs.
I did pick up one of the HDSRB heads, really love the throw.
Curious on how an Osram led would do on the HDSRB head.
Long time ago there were HDS lights with Osram LED. My Ti Clicky #1 has a Osram golden Dragon and has 170lm. Great tint, love it really. Therefore this Ti Clicky will never get an LED update.

I would switch over except for the nightmare it would create in production... a nightmare Henry has to deal with which involves the signal wire. We deal with it for the 18650 tubes... it just adds a lot more time in production... it is also why it took me quite some time to convince Henry to do the 18350/18500 run... he is the one who has to suffer through the production hassle on them...
Yeah, would be interesting to see one with an Osram.
Looks like that would require a new LED board, as Osram doesn't have any parts with the 3535 3-stripe footprint that Cree and a few other vendors offer. The Osconiq P 3737 has a thermal pad that's too wide to work, and the other option is one of the Osram LEDs with a 3030 footprint (e.g. Oslon Square). The 3030 footprint parts could possibly be modded onto the pads for the 3535 XP-G2 but that isn't something that would be good practice for production.

Andy Zhu could prolly mod a HDS with Osram, he is on facebook FF group.

I'd like to see how it turned out before jumping into the mod.
