I've taken a great liking to the Sanyo NCR18650GA batteries over the years in most of my lights, the SD6-460NW supports using flat tops so you can save the $0.49 per battery for buying without the button top.

For chargers I've been using the Xtar SV2 chargers mostly and I purchase most stuff from illumn.com

I've only had good experiences with keeppower cells. The only protected 18650 cells I buy anymore are from them. As far as chargers go; if you are looking for the best, take a look at the SkyRC MC3000. I think that should still be the best charger on the marked today for round cells. It's not easy to use however, and I can't be bothered struggling with that thing. But if you've got a PhD in electronics or programming, you are gonna get along with it just fine!

Re: I read that 18650 batteries can't have 3600ma.

I like the same brand in unprotected IMR, KeepPower IMR18650 in 3200mAh or 3500mAh.

I like the orbtronics, made in Japan is generally what you want.

Hell even my 20 year old truck is from Japan :D

I don`t know what the "Best" is but I tend to buy Molicel where possible, so the Molicel P26A is my usual 18650 go to, as for charger I use an Xstar VC4 (amongst others) I`v found it to be perfectly good at it`s job, especially since it`s one of the few chargers capable of taking D cells, Protected cells (they`re longer than usual) and 26650`s! :)

I am a big fan of XTAR myself. VP4 and VP2 models, specifically. Simple, durable.

yeah me too, I use mine every single day, first thing in the morning all the night light batts go in there and are ready by mid-day, I can`t fault it.
