Battery Compartment Cap?

Does anyone know of if there is a type of cap that could be screwed onto an HDS battery compartment so the compartment could double as a battery storage capsule? Also, is there a reason this should not be done?

I have thought about this before and now the possibility of an 18500 tube has me thinking about it again. I know may say just use an HDS flashlight head and then you have a spare light. I agree this would be the best option, but just curious if the other option exists.

This doesn't exist yet. But very possible if there's enough interest. I didn't get much traction previously.

Thanks for the info. A delrin is exactly what I was thinking. Shame there wasn't interest, but I guess most just carry extra light.

Just get a spare clicky tail cap and screw on the battery compartment.

Be careful not to short out the battery, add some tape or something.
Back in the day HDS made a cap, I have one for my circa 2007 B42 17670 tube.
