Would a Nicron N7 be a good replacement for a Skilhunt H01?

H01 isnt 18650
You must be confused or something.... according to everywhere I've looked the H01 takes 2xCR123 or 1x18650.
Even your post at the other forum have people saying it is 18650. Maybe you are thinking of H04 or something else.

Yes sorry I meant H15
That makes more sense. I am not familiar with Nicron lights, the only AA headlamp I'm familiar with is a Fenix HL50, and I've heard Zebra makes a really good 1AA headlamp too at a higher cost. Personally I had a 1AA headlamp early on that was useful but disappointing in performance it is a Rayovac 1AA Luxeon at about 30 lumens with runtime off 1AA of about 90 mins to 150 mins on alkaline or 2500 nimh battery. I currently have 2 headlamps that are 18650 based and like them both even though they are bulkier and heavier they have the output/runtime that I need. A 1AA headlamp can't maintain the output I need for a full work day regardless of battery in it.
