Hi all,
I have an old (maybe 15 years old?) 2AA Ultrafire C3, first model, one-mode.
I had to carry out the "solder blob" fix a few years ago because it did not always turn on, now this is OK but I wonder if there is a way to upgrade it with better, more recent, driver and LED offering a much better brightness (and more neutral tint).
I'm looking to a "ready-to-use" pill since I'm not very confident in my soldering skills, moreover the "visible" part of the pill in my light seems a little crooked . Any suggestion for such a replacement pill, noting that it seems to be 18mm diameter?
Thanks in advance.

I doubt there is a ready made pill for it. Your best bet is to sharpen up your soldering skills

It's usually easy. Look at MTE electronics. They will sell a driver with leads already soldered. That's half the battle!
